There was a lot of different types of alcohol involved, but I will only post one picture of this red wine.
Sorry to any of my bloggees, once again I have been slacking on my duties. On May 12th, a week and a couple days before Shannon headed west for some Oregon tail, myself a bunch of her closest friends held a surprise potluck at my apartment under the pretense that I alone was cooking her dinner. Here's some of the grub that was involved.

Kate's Birthday BBQ

Carrot cake and chocolate cake!
Various Grillables.
Peter and Jordan threw a BBQ on their roof for Kate's birthday on the 11th (her birthday was the following day). I didn't manage to photograph all the grub, but here are some shots.

Late Night Grand Morelos

David and I split some chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks.
Poor Mike- I think he only got to eat one third of his chilaquiles before the rest of us ravished them.
Went for some late-night Grand Morelos with David, Mike, and Nick after a hang out at Matt and Erik's apartment.

Adventures of Seis de Mayo

And during an adventurous walk (which eventually landed us in McCarren Park), we made a pit stop for some Van Leeuwen ice cream. Will got strawberry and and Sam and I went for pistachio.
I ordered the scramble with spinach, butternut squash, and goat's cheese which came with an order of homefries. Deeelish.
After the Skarstad brothers kindly lent me a coach to sleep on, we went for brunch at a cafe around the corner.
After a Snakes Say Hisss show and quite a few cervezas on Cinco de Mayo, Sam, Will, and I headed out on a feverish 4:00am search for french fries. Our efforts landed us at a 24-hour grocery store in Bushwick, where we picked up some specially seasoned french fries, a jar of pickled jalapenos, and a jar of assorted pickled olives.

Cinco de Mayo

Went to Yola for a burrito on Cinco de Mayo with Ben and Shannon.

Dinner with Alexandra

Chicken kebab over pureed potatoes.
Grilled octopus salad.
My parents and I went out to dinner with our friend Alexandra back in April. I will have to post the restaurant name later, because I've forgotten it. It was a French-Mediterranean fusion place. But here's what I ate!

Peacefood Cafe

Quinoa Salad.

Japanese pumpkin and yellow zucchini.
