4:30am German Breakfast with Will

Yogee with Shannon and Erin

Then I got this chicken dish with pea shoots. Yuuum.
Shannon and I each got one of these beef stews, thinking they would make solid appetizers. They turned out to be a lot heartier than expected- more like a main dish.

Belated One-On-One Birthday Dinner with Allie

I went for the black pepper seitan over broccoli, served with a side of brown rice.
Allie had the bibimbap for her main course (doesn't she look cute and crunchy?).
...and Indian pancakes with curry sauce.
...a mango and avocado tartar...
We split a few appetizers: a house salad with ginger dressing...
Although we made a wild weekend of Allie's birthday, it was hard to get any one-on-one time in to give her her presents. So the two of us went on a dinner date last Tuesday at Wild Ginger, this wonderful vegan restaurant on Bedford avenue.

Academy Awards Wings

Went to David's to watch the Academy Awards with David, his brother, and Matt. David had mixed up a batch of sauce for hot wings; I did the dirty work of sloshing it around the meat. They turned out pretty well I think.

Chef Haley

I went to Haley's house after class last Monday, and she cooked us this lovely late dinner (I provided the wine, and she did the rest). Beet salad and pasta with pesto. Deeeelicious!

Allie and Nina's Birthday Celebration

Everything turned out alright aesthetically. And it tasted pretty damn good, too (this top photo is courtesy of Alex Citrin).
Then there was the cake. The cake whose mix Alex bought, and whose icing and baking I put together. A stoned little Frankie stuck her thumb in it, so I had to do the best icing job I could. It was the first devil's food twinkie cake I've heard of, at least.
Nina turned 24 on the 25th of February, and Allie on the 27th. The Saturday in between, Allie and Alex held a joint birthday party at their apartment. Natasha, Jess, and Sarah made some surprise visits for the occasion, and before the crowds came, a few of the girls ordered Chinese food. I got diced chicken with peanuts in hot pepper sauce (which came with the usual box of white rice) and split an order of vegetable dumplings with Jess.

Clinton Street Reunion Dinner at Schiller's

Cobb salad.
French fries.
Calamari.
Deviled eggs.
I was into the red wine. The white wine tasted like Triaminic to me though (but Natasha preferred it to the red- different strokes...)
Last Friday, Natasha, Alex, Sarah and I went to Schiller's for an impromptu 230 Clinton street (our senior year of college residence) dinner. Afterwards, Alex and I went to see an amazing Beach House concert, and Sarah and Tash went out and met back up with us later in the night. All in all, this was a good start to a good evening.
