Sirenfest 2010

It's a tradition of mine to follow up the Siren Music Festival with Chinese food.
The photo above is courtesy of Frankie Pia.
Hi Doug.
Cookie dough dip n' dots. Yummm.
And this lovely lass. Francesca, you better watch out; I may have to steal that dress.
These fine gentlemen joined us.
It looked awesome with her super long ginger locks.
I gave Shannon an updo like the one I had.
La playa.
Ain't nothin' like a Coney Island quesadilla with everything on it.
An excitingly large ball of string cheese.
Boardwaaalk.
Here is a terrible photograph of a great set.
We went early to see the Screaming Females.

Bye Bye Peter

We've lost another New Yorker... to the west. Hailey had a roof party to see him off Friday, but I didn't snap any shots. Here's just a picture of him (stolen from Haley's facebook album). Bye bye Peter, au revoir, we will miss you!

Beach by Day, Party Expo by Night

Snakes Say Hisss.
Boogie Boarder.
Just in time to meet up with Shannon and Peter to go see the show at Party Expo.
We trained back...

Guess who's who.
Credit for the four photos above go to Kelli.
Silly faces and Freckles: my head looks huuuge from this angle.
I think Natuuusha was a little water logged at this point.
Caught this sweet leap shot before their cannonballs.
Little Chase-Lynn joined the gang. She went a little diva on us at the end; I think she needed a nap.
Natasha passes out every time she's in a moving vehicle for more than ten minutes.
Natasha was extremely fascinated when my Dad filled the break oil. Can you tell she grew up in the city?
Downtown Natasha Brown was back for 5 days, and she couldn't return to the heat of NoLa without a whiff of salt air. So we got up early and drove down for the day.

Mid-Week Potluck

He brought some killa beer.
Peter arrived fashionably late (he had a dinner date with his dad).
Kat arrived after work with a final, smooth red bottle of wine.
Some gluten-free chocolate chip cookies from Natasha and Kelli.
Bottiglia di vino numero due.
A pseudo group shot.
Joli's magnificent cheese platter, complete with crackers and knives.
Bottiglia di vino numero uno.
The finished product of Hailey and Shannon's guacamole- muy muuuy bien.
I caught Lady Luna in a 1950s wholesome housewife pose (I really want that dress).
Hailey chopping up some red onion for her guac.
Mr. Bilsky brought some sweet and sour pickles. They complimented the main dishes quite nicely. Lee is also a kickass photographer. Check it out: http://leebilsky.net
Nate made some delicious brussel sprouts cooked with pecans and cheese.
Luna made a scrumptious pasta salad. For more of her creations, both in the kitchen and on the canvas, check out her blogs: http://piernastijera.blogspot.com and http://lunambajak.blogspot.com.

I made baked zucchini with olive oil, mozzarella, and a red wine vinegar sauce, baked eggplant and zucchini parmesan, and cooked up some spinach and ricotta pasta, set on tomato sauce.

Last Wednesday, we broke up the week with a nice little potluck at my apartment. Here are some of the contributions.
